Building the shut-off system into a RTF-model
The shut-off system and a brand new model (Yuvenko: "Ukraine Combat")
The original bellcrank and safety wire
Cut the original bellcrank bar free
Push or knock the bar free
Pull the bar out
The bar is out and the bellcranck is free
Reinforce the covering with glass fiber tape
Cut new openings top and bottom
Cut away some of the wood in the center section
(a problem that will be solved with a minor change
in the construction of the next version)
Chamfer these edges to help the belcranck move with the spring
The upper part of the clamp is fixed to the spring
The shut-off goes into the model
The lower part of clamp is put on to the spring
- and put in place in the bellcrank
Tighten the screw with a hex key through the cutout for the pushrod
Same operation with an extended key
Ready to install the bottom plate. Notice the position of the spring!

Locking the shut-off system with a M3 nut
Drill a hold for the wood screw
Put in the screew that will hold the bottom plate in the right position
Drill a hold for the wood screw in the upper part
This screw will hold the upper housing and the spring in the right position
Checking the position of the bellcranck
If necessary, adjust the position of the bellcranck
Cover the opening with tape. Leave some space fore the spring to move.
This hole can be covered completely
Cut the hole for the pushrod a little wider to allow the movement of the spring
Install the pushrod
New and original safety wire
With engine and fuel tank. The fuel tube is extended with some extra tube
The fuel tube pinched off by the spring
The spring is blocked by the lock
The lock is blocking the spring.
